Pop down, colour in a butterfly and let’s build something beautiful!! For all ages and all skills!
Celebrating difference and diversity. Installed as a permanent feature in the Old Chapel cafe.
 
 

How do you get involved?

  • Pop into the cafe and grab a butterfly stencil and a pen!
  • Decorate it
  • Open to all ages and skill level.
THIS IS NOT about having high levels of artistic skill, but the honest expressions of all. Dive in, be bold and join in let’s make something beautiful.

Sound Track is local people’s songs, poems jokes and thoughts. We think of anyone on this community generated album as being a part of the Humanz Collective! Enjoy.

Who wants to have a little sing?

Just for fun we’re looking for people, young or old, to have go at being a backing singer on a few songs we’ve written. No experience needed! Its ok if you don’t even think you can sing!

Who wants to hit a drum or shake a shaker?

Just for fun we’re looking for people, young or old, to have go at hitting a drum or shaking a shaker on some songs we’re recorded.

Who wants to write a song?

Just for fun we’re looking for people, young or old, who want to be involved in writing some songs. No experience needed. just a few thoughts!

We’d love to record what you’ve created

We’re collecting songs and poems from the local area and showcasing them on our Sound Track online album. Yes your stuff is good enough! Follow in Jen-e’s footsteps!

Our ‘wall of values’ 

What do you value, what’s important to you? What do we value as a community? What’s important to you is important to us.

Here’e a chance to use your skills and create the wall of values which is installed as a permanent feature in the Old Chapel cafe.

How do you get involved?

  • Pop into the cafe and grab a piece of card and a pen!
  • Or make one at home and bring it in!: Cut a 10cm square of cardboard.
  • Decorate it with something that represents something you value or is important to you. (A colour, person, activity, object, word or words, event, shape, memory anything, done in any way… painted, drawn, collage, stickers…. ? ).
  • Once you’re done, pop down the cafe and we’ll add it to the next big thing!
  • Open to all ages and skill level.
THIS IS NOT about having high levels of artistic skill, but the honest expressions of all. Dive in, be bold and join in with the next big thing!

Make a Life

Taking the unwanted and unused and giving it a chance to help make a new life.

Everything deserves a chance to play its part and make a difference. This project is about refurbishing, up cycling and renovating objects and giving them the opportunity to be used and appreciated. It’s also about allowing different people to offer different gifts they have to make a difference in the world simple by being themselves and playing a part.
