The Larch Cladding Company: Creative Brief outline

Any identity project starts with working with the client to clarify the idea, the vision, the mission. The why, how and what you might say.

The Larch Cladding Company wanted to emphasise the bespoke nature of their work, heritage in the Welsh hills (near iconic Moel Famau summit), and their eco credentials.

It’s been great helping them name the company, create a logo and supply an identity style sheet (so they can see what their company will look like in the future).

Bespoke Welsh Timber Cutting strap line describes their main positioning,  Build a better world advertising focus strap line plays on the notion of not only building beautiful things with their timber, but also caring for the planet with their We plant trees scheme.

Supplied all their photography, creating an online library, a promotional postcard, business card, press advertising and copy writing for editorial pack.

Set up an initial web site which I managed and updated for them, branded the Facebook page, created social media content and ran a digital marketing campaign that lead to record sales!

Vision: Everyone should be able to give their ideas a go!

Mission: Enable individuals to respond to the ideas they carry so they can be a positive change in the world by offering practical guidance and support to develop their ideas.

Plan: Give practical support to enable your response to a need you see.

Logo and style sheet

Logo and style sheet to help express how the logo might be used with fonts, colours, graphics and photography as a reference for the future, and to give a sense of the overall identity.

The stylesheet reference point used to develop marketing materials. In this case a business card, folder and flyer… that flies.

Happy Horse Bedding: Creative Brief outline

Any identity project starts with working with the client to clarify the idea, the vision, the mission. The why, how and what you might say.

As well as the health and comfort of their client’s horses, Happy Horse Bedding are considering the environment too with a carbon neutral product that’s crafted for comfort. Now everyone can afford to have a happy horse…

Happy Horse Bedding know their customers really care. Both for their horses and the planet. Their main USP’s were their carbon neutrality and the nature of the size of their ‘crafted’ shavings being easier to handle and more absorbent. Heritage with a modern twist you might say. The premium looking hand crafted logo reflects this, as well as their history as a family run business in the heart of rural North Wales. The pink bags are a flash of modern confidence that have been a big hit with their discerning customers! Indeed a quality product, with great credentials that leaves you happy!

Good for the planet, good for your horse, good for business. I’ll sleep well tonight knowing all that.

Rich created a great identity for my website DreamSpace Creative. The logo is striking; a 3 dimensional letter ‘D’ with a doorway, encapsulating the idea of a creative space accessible to all. Rich really listened to the brief for the project and created a design that exactly matched the idea of creating space for music, art and creativity in all its forms. The striking yellow and blue colours, and the easy to navigate features, have made the website a joy to use. Thank you Rich

FaithAction. Because faith is too significant to ignore

FaithAction: Creative Brief outline

Any identity project starts with working with the client to clarify the idea, the vision, the mission. The why, how and what you might say.

FaithAction fund, train, advise, campaign, research and innovate. Working nationally to support faith based organisations at work in their local communities.

Highlighting the invaluable contributions of faith communities in England, they work in partnership with the Department for Communities and Local Government, Department of Health, NHS England and Public Health England to make an effective difference.

Through their guidance and training 140 organisations have pledged their commitment to helping people who suffer with mental health problems, and their multi-faith social action initiative has resulted in 58 community projects engaging over 577 individuals… with the Creative English project has engaging over 2400 people in learning English through drama and role-play.

I’ve had the pleasure of creating a new look to their literature over a number of projects and, in a small way, feel like I’m playing a part in building a better society! Now that, I can believe in.
